In Birmingham, Alabama exists an old, cobbled road by the name of Morris Avenue. Since the late 1880s, it has been a bustling hub of railroads with a modern and upcoming revitalization through the arts. In 2019, the "Before I Die" mural was created, having passersby fill in painted prompts stating, "Before I die, I want to _____." with chalk. After a stack of boxes caught fire in front of the mural in 2021, it was destroyed, eventually being restored at the beginning of 2024. I was tasked with embodying the spirit of Birmingham on this new, long-awaited canvas in multicolored chalk. "Birmingham Pigeons" was created in January of 2024 and "Train Graffiti" was created in August of 2024 and still stands today.
